After World War II, the historic wooden Church of St. Bartholomew. After the construction of the new Wilcze Gardło housing estate, construction works were commenced to build a new temple. Construction began in 1973 according to the design of the architect, Eng. Zbigniew Zawalski from Bytom. The new parish church was completed in 1979. The church is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen. It has its own parish cemetery at ul. Wiejska.
