Efforts to build a church and create a parish in Bargłówka began in December 1981 by the parish priest of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary parish in Rudy - Fr Władysław Kopeć. The square for the construction of the church was consecrated in July 1983.
The cornerstone, which was set in the walls of the new temple, was consecrated by Pope John Paul II during his pilgrimage to his homeland on Saint Anne's Mountain on June 21, 1983.
