The building was built at the end of the 19th century and was a private building. In 1900, the town officials bought the property from the previous owner and established their office there.
In the central part of the building there is a four-storey tower topped with a metal cupola with a spire. There are clocks on the front wall and both side walls. The charm of the whole building is added by a modest, but very nicely made balcony.
