The Dzierżno Małe Lake was established in 1938 by flooding the former sand pits and thus obtaining a reservoir with an area of 1.2 square kilometers and a capacity of 10 million cubic meters. The maximum depth of this reservoir is 25 m. Dzierżno Małe is fed by the waters of the Drama River flowing into it and the smaller Pniówka River.
Dzierżno Małe Lake is strictly a sailing lake. Sailing centers offer sailboat and sailing equipment rental on site.
