The City Park is located in the former Drama River valley.
The park infrastructure itself existed even before 1900. The City Park was founded before the Second World War (around the 1930s) and operated under the name of Stadtpark. The Drama River flows through its area, and the remains of its bed are the bridge along Powstańców Śląskich street and the drainage ditch surrounding the park from the north and west. As a result of these actions, Drama stopped flowing through the park.
In 2018, the City Park underwent a complete renovation. The area of the park was enlarged and now covers 5.24 ha. The park has been enriched with a unique playground equipped with, among others with a zip line and a large rope course. There is also an outdoor gym, Nordic walking routes and skating routes, communal barbecue areas and a public toilet. There is a unique educational path located on a wooden pier and a run for dogs. In the central part of the park, there are pergolas with a small fountain. There are 7 trees that are monuments of nature.
