Parish of St. Joseph, located in Kalety, in the district of Jędrysek, belongs to the diocese of Gliwice and the deanery of Woźniki. Neo-Gothic parish church from 1900, extended in 1950, consecrated in 1975. It is the oldest parish in Kalety.
In the 1890s, Fr. Karol Klose began efforts to establish a parish in Jędrysk. On November 13, 1896, the authorities of the Opole district issued a permit to establish a parish, and on November 20, 1896, Cardinal Georg Kopp from Wrocław established the parish. The design of the church was made by the architect Otto Kotzulla from Tarnowskie Góry. Albert Felix was appointed construction manager. The cornerstone for the church was laid on May 29, 1899. At that time, services were held in the chapel in the presbytery. Neo-Gothic church of st. Józef was consecrated on August 16, 1900. After the death of the first parish priest and builder of the church, the parish did not have a permanent chaplain for almost a year. Another parish priest - Fr. Paweł Rogowski equipped the church with altars and the necessary liturgical equipment. He also rebuilt the interior of the presbytery, arranging, among others a meeting room for emerging religious organizations and associations. In 1925 the faithful from Mikołeska were joined to the parish, and in 1945 Catholics from Kuczów. The increase in the number of parishioners was the reason for the expansion of the church, which was carried out until 1950. In 1968, the church was modernized, with a thorough change of the chancel. The church was rededicated on May 19, 1975.
In 1999-2001, a major renovation of the church began, renewing the roof covering of the chancel. Work continued in 2004: new lighting was installed, a new main altar, side altars, a pulpit, baptismal font and organs were made, interior painting was renovated, revealing earlier paintings in the presbytery. The author of the present decor and equipment of the presbytery is the architect Henry Dragon of Kalety. The new post-conciliar altar was consecrated by the bishop of Gliwice, Jan Wieczorek, on October 30, 2005.
