Around 1.5 km west of Kołczyn, on the Warta flood bank, there is a brick building (the only building in the area on the slope of the flood bank), the architectural style of which is typical for public utility buildings or state administration offices. It was built as the workplace and home for the flood bank master (supervisor) who was responsible for inspecting the banks and maintaining them in proper condition.
