Swochowo was not a typical charter village, as it had 72 lans (“lan” being the old Polish unit of measurement of farming fields) where a typical settlement would have 64 lans. Thus, Swochowo counted as a wealthy settlement. A park and palace complex was built there which was taken over by the State Agricultural Farm in 1945. There was also a megalithic tomb in the fields of Swochowo.
