On 28 December 2001, the Commune Council of Stare Czarnowo passed a resolution entering the Local Historians’ Boulder (Polish: Głaz Krajoznawców) into the register of natural monuments. This massive, pink and grey granite boulder has 17.5 m in circumference and is over 2.5 m high. One can only imagine the sheer strength of the glacier which brought such a boulder here. The boulder is located in the valley, so you will have to leave the trail and go around 100 m east to see it.
